Our Environment, Sustainability and Quality Commitment

We have an ongoing programme of installing Environmental Management Systems in all our manufacturing facilities in line with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. We are continually looking for ways of eliminating waste in our facilities by streamlining processes, installing energy efficient equipment and minimising the needless loss of heat.

ACP (Concrete) Ltd is committed to preventing pollution and to conducting its operational and business activities in an environmentally responsible manner.

We are full members of British Precast's Sustainability Charter scheme. This requires all members to be independently audited each year at each manufacturing site. Detailed evidence is then gathered and analysed to determine performance in all required areas including utilities usages, energy-saving measures, employee welfare, training, responsible sourcing of raw materials.

We are adopting the highly regarded UK Responsible Sourcing standard BES 6001 at our sites.

As well as ensuring that our products are sustainable and the constituent materials are responsibly sourced, we are continually monitoring our generation of greenhouse gases and look for ways to further reduce this.

A key to our success and longevity as a company lies in the consistency of the quality of our products and services. We recognise that quality is key to satisfying our existing customers and to attracting potentially new ones. With this in mind, we operate stringent quality control measures at all of our operations. Through this we can:

  • Give the customer what they want and wherever possible exceed their expectations
  • Eliminate unnecessary waste; for our customers and ourselves
  • Ensure compliance with necessary regulatory standards and codes of practice
  • React quickly to any issues which may arise and rectify the problem as soon as possible
