Typical stored materials include grain, cocoa, soya beans, coal, road salt, fertiliser and various food products. Precast Concrete Retaining Wall Panels provide a versatile, robust storage solution for bulk materials in single or multi store facilities.
Manufactured in controlled factory conditions using Quality Assured concrete, both precast and prestressed precast concrete wall panels provide a known performance, unlike traditional in-situ ‘poured’ walls reducing the need for specialist and costly engineering input.
At ACP (Concrete) Ltd, we manufacture three different wall products in a wide range of sizes to suit almost all requirements. Our unrivalled experience can help you to make the right choice between horizontal panels, vertical cantilever walls and free-standing, moveable walling.

Heavy Duty Applications - Horizontal Prestressed Precast Concrete Wall Panels
Panels span between steel columns. Simple fixing system, either clipped to column face or slotted between the column webs.

Horizontal Panels are the ideal wall solution for bulk material storage where the building columns can be used to support the panels.
The panels span between the steel columns and are simply clipped to the inside face using the bolts & plates provided and the joints sealed with the one-part polyurethane mastic sealant provided.
This provides a robust, smooth wall which can also be dismantled easily and relocated if your storage circumstances change.
These prestressed precast concrete walls can also be used a dividing wall with double loading panels fitted between the the column webs.

Cantilever - Vertical Prestressed Precast Concrete Retaining Wall
Panels set vertically into a foundation 550m deep & tied in using cradles and reinforcing bars supplied.

- Ideal for Permanent division walls within the clear span of a building or external storage bunkers.
- No above ground steel support required.
- Wide range of performance right up to 5m high.
- Really good to seal.
- Tongue & groove joint detail assists installation and enables load share along the wall.
- Can be backfilled with earth.
- Future proof - Possibility to add another panel using a common wall because all ACP Vertical panels are designed to be double loading.

Division Walls within a Storage Facility
Prestressed Vertical Panels are the perfect choice for division walls in a bulk storage facility.
The panels are installed into a foundation 550mm deep, tied in with reinforcing bars & cradles provided, forming a smooth wall both sides for easy out loading.

Arrow - Freestanding Precast Concrete Walls Panels
Freestanding, moveable panels that sit directly onto the structural concrete floor slab. Can be bolted down if required.

- Temporary Storage, Division Walls in Existing Building
Temporary Storage, Division Walls in Existing Building
Arrow Panels make ideal moveable or temporary bulk material storage walls within in an existing building.
Easily placed into position using a forklift or telehandler, the heavy panels have a tongue and groove joint in the base which keeps them in line during installation and use.
The panels can be fixed down to the floor pad using Excalibur Bolts, but can be relocated to accommodate changes to storage requirements if necessary.

Supporting you at every part of the process: design, construction and installation, our dedicated team of structural engineers and precast installers have extensive experience of delivering a wide range of prestressed floors, precast wall and stairs projects nationwide.
Design Service
Our experienced in-house engineering department offer a complete design and calculations service providing you with full construction drawings to deliver high quality precast solutions. Our design services including cantilever wall foundation design, precast wall panel design or design of bespoke precast products where our standard products don’t meet your requirements.
Our dedicated team will work closely with you to ensure that the precast concrete design meets your specific requirements, whilst ensuring that your project is designed to the highest standard whilst still providing a fit for purpose cost effective solution.
Installation Service - Part 1
All our precast concrete products are delivered and installed by the same professional team ensuring your project runs efficiently with people who fully understand your requirements. The team’s knowledge and experience of the complete precast and prestressed installation process is second to none, ensuring our products are installed on-site correctly and your project remains on-time and to budget.
We employ dedicated specialist reliable subcontract fixing precast teams who have worked closely with ACP (Concrete) Ltd over many years. Our Contract Manager's will assume control and co-ordination of the works on the placement of your order. This will ensure the free flow of information and design approval being achieved within the timescales.
Installation Service - Part 2
Our precast concrete wall solutions offer quick and simple installation which is usually carried out using either a crane or telehandler. The final product and method of installation will generally be determined by any site restrictions, the proposed sequencing of work and which product will provide the desired solution most economically.
Alternatively, help and advice for the safe handling and installation of precast units can be supplied as documentation and if required a supervisory site visit can also be arranged.
Site Specific Risk Assessments
Site Specific risk assessments and method statements are available following a prestart visit to site, which will be logged with all relevant parties, prior to commencement of work on-site.
Our experienced team will work to the site-specific method statement in conjunction with the detail of the approved design layout drawing ensuring your project is delivered to the highest standards of safety.
Site Specific Requirements
Site specific requirements, such as hard standing areas, movement of materials to create space and overhead obstructions will be identified and discussed with the Site Manager prior to commencement of installation work and these requirements will form part of the method statement.
